Shawana holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a Master of Science in Applied Sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University, and a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. Her education and diverse professional background allow her to navigate complex legal matters with precision and care.

Before joining the firm, Shawana worked extensively in social services, mental health, and legal research. She has served as a foster care worker, a trainer of mental health professionals, a multisystemic therapist, and a client advocate, gaining hands-on experience in case management, court hearings, and family-centered support. Her experience working alongside District Attorneys, probation officers, and the courts has deepened her understanding of the judicial process, particularly in matters affecting families and children.

Shawana's passion for advocacy, research, and client support makes her an integral part of the legal team. She is committed to assisting clients with professionalism and empathy, helping them receive the guidance and resources they need during challenging times.
